Citronia’s role
Citronia provides supportive, substance-free sober-living housing for adult men and women. It does not provide medical or clinical treatment and does not directly bill insurance for housing.
Private insurance options
It may, through an appropriate independent outpatient or intensive outpatient (IOP) provider. Citronia does not bill insurance for the residence. The independent provider may bill a plan for its own eligible clinical services. Admission, benefits, and out-of-pocket costs must be verified for each person.
Who handles what
Private insurance may be able to help with the overall arrangement when someone works with an appropriate independent outpatient or IOP provider. That provider may bill insurance for eligible services. The provider and insurer must verify eligibility and benefits. Citronia does not bill insurance for sober-living housing.
Citronia provides supportive, substance-free sober-living housing for adult men and women. It does not provide medical or clinical treatment and does not directly bill insurance for housing.
An appropriate outpatient or IOP provider may separately bill insurance for its own services.
Depending on the provider, those services may address substance-use treatment, mental-health care, co-occurring substance-use and mental-health needs, or related behavioral-health care. The provider controls its assessments, treatment recommendations, admission decisions, insurance participation, and billing.
The insurer and independent provider must verify eligibility, benefits, authorization requirements, and remaining costs for each person. No coverage or cost assistance is guaranteed.
How to begin
Ask whether insurance may help, what the current costs are, or how an introduction to an independent outpatient or IOP provider works. The provider—not Citronia—decides whether its services fit, whether to admit someone, and how insurance or billing applies.
You may share the name of an insurance carrier if you choose. Do not submit an insurance member ID, policy number, insurance-card image, Social Security number, diagnosis, medication list, medical record, or treatment history through the website form or Ask Citronia.
Cash-pay rates are also available on request. You can still explore whether private insurance may help.
For families and referral sources
A prospective resident, family member, friend, case manager, therapist, or other referral source may ask a general question. The conversation can clarify options and next steps; it does not confirm residence availability, provider admission, insurance coverage, a tour, or placement.
