Frequently asked questions

Los Angeles sober living questions, answered plainly.

Start here for the essentials. Details such as current availability, costs, and house expectations are best discussed directly.

The residenceWhat is Citronia Recovery?

Citronia Recovery is a co-ed sober living residence for men and women in Los Angeles, with men and women housed in separate rooms. It offers a substance-free shared-home setting intended to support accountability, stability, and the daily work of recovery.

The residenceWho may be a fit for the home?

The residence may be appropriate for adults seeking a structured, substance-free place to live as part of ongoing recovery. Needs and expectations are discussed privately before any decision is made.

Care and supportIs Citronia Recovery a treatment program?

No. Citronia Recovery provides supportive sober living housing, not detoxification, residential treatment, outpatient treatment, medical care, or clinical services. When additional care is needed, Citronia can provide contacts and help coordinate introductions or transitions with trusted independent local providers. Each provider makes its own clinical, admission, cost, and insurance decisions.

Costs and insuranceCan private insurance help with sober-living costs?

Private insurance may be able to help as part of the overall arrangement when someone is connected with an appropriate independent outpatient or intensive outpatient (IOP) program. Eligibility and benefits vary and must be verified by the outpatient provider and insurer. Citronia does not directly bill insurance for sober-living housing.

Daily lifeWhat does day-to-day life look like?

The aim is a calm shared-home environment with practical routines, accountability, and respect for other residents. Specific house expectations and current arrangements are explained during an inquiry.

InquiriesCan a family member make an inquiry?
